The vineyard you will be visiting are spread all over so the tour will only last normally for one day. If your tour included moving from one vineyard to another most of the time will be traveling so it will need to set off early morning.

Vineyards allow 4-6 oz of wine as samplers. Taking 1 oz of wine is already enough to taste the wine and if you taste all the wines in the different vineyards you visit, it will surely add up. Driving after drinking so much is not a good idea so it would be a good idea to either leave the car and come back later to pick it up or have someone in your party as the designated driver for the day.

There are private companies that can help you out with your wine tasting tours, they organize all the itinerary making your trip less stressful. You can leave it to the tour company to organize the day and any other task to make your tour as perfect as possible.
